National Parks, Bushwalks & Wildlife in Tasmania
Freycinet National Park
Visit for beautiful beach camping and coastal bushwalks or stay at one of Australias only hotels in a National Park, Freycinet Lodge and enjoy drinks with a view (most of them are in Tasmania)!
Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park
Dramatic and stunning mountains, valleys, lakes and wildlife make cradle mountain a must see on your Tasmania holiday. At the southern end of the park is the atmospheric Lake St, a great spot for longer bushwalks. My favourite is catching the boat to the end of the lake and the long full day hike back takes you on the last section of the overland track.
Camp near the lake or stay in accommodation in the park and dine at the visitor centre restaurant or splash out on Pump House Point.
Mount Field National Park
Worth visiting just for the awe-inspiring Giant Trees and spot plenty of wildlife when you camp in the campground.
Bay of Fires Conservation Area
A series of campgrounds on picturesque beaches this beautiful park is insta famous for its stunning sunrises and sunsets. Get in early in the day to avoid missing out on a campsite.
