A beautiful scenic drive the twists and turns its way between the mountain ranges. It’s recommended by Rawnsley Park Station as a nice drive to watch the ranges change colour late afternoon.
When I visited the road was 2wd accessible as it was dry and more recently graded – road conditions in the Flinders Ranges can change dramatically and become unpassable after weater events.
Make sure you have plenty of time to get home in the afternoon and drive slowely to keep animals safe as there are sheep and plenty of roos depending on which section you are in.
