Snowys has a huge range of outdoor gear choices + good buying guides

A nice easy stop, the Forest Sky Pier in Orara East State Forest is a short distance from the car and is accessible to wheelchairs.

It is also dog friendly as it is a state forest.

I think it’s worth the stop to get a birds eye view of the Coffs Coast below for very little effort.

As the lookout is paid for by the Foresty Corporation the information signs are unfortunately more foresty propaganda than a guide to flora and fauna in the region although they do have some interesting history on foresty on the coast.

Getting to Forest Sky Pier and Forest Sky Pier Picnic area near Coffs Harbour & Parking

The Forest Sky Pier is accessible on winding 2wd bitumen Bruxner Park Road and then you turn onto Scenic Drive which is also a sealed road.

It has parking facilities for coaches along the road near the carpark so presumably most standard size caravans should be ok though the road in winding without a shoulder in places.

There was also a turn around area near the toilets that appeared designed for coaches and vans to turn around.

Garraan gurr Track

This short dog friendly loop walk leaves from near the picnic area and is a nice way to stretch your legs under towering trees.

However, if you are able and only have time for one walk, I personally enjoyed the 1.4km Rainforest Loop Walk best as it takes you through rainforest with strangler figs.
